If you don’t have a Kabuki Brush in your makeup kit you are missing the final, finishing touch to your makeup.
Named after the Kabuki Japanese Drama Theatre the Kabuki Brush was originally used to apply fine white powder to the actors’ faces.
Fast forward to today and the Kabuki Brush’s unique shape is perfect to apply powder products seamlessly and blend face makeup for a more natural look. The bristles help dust on just enough product without making your face look cakey or overdone. This super soft, dense brush distributes product evenly and quickly, making it a staple for any mineral makeup routine.
While face powders, especially loose powders, are the name of the game when it comes to the Kabuki Brush, you can also use them to apply liquid foundation – but a word of warning - just don’t switch back and forth. Decide how you are going to use your Kabuki Brush and stick with it.
How to use
If you want your beauty look to last from day to night, you’ll need to lock your makeup in with a setting powder. Dust powder onto the brush and tap off any excess. Sweep over the face for a flawless finish.
Just as you would with your other makeup brushes and blenders, you must clean your Kabuki Brush regularly. Dirty makeup brushes are a breeding ground for bacteria. So, to protect your skin and keep your brushes bacteria-free, we recommend washing your brushes every 7-10 days. And remember to always dry them bristles down so the moisture flows out of the bristles.
